Arestin

As explained elsewhere on this site, periodontal disease is a significant risk not only to a patient's oral health but overall health as well. We take it very seriously and on occasion have to take strong measures to combat it. Arestin© is an antibiotic that is use to eliminate bacteria causing infections in the gums.

Typically applied after scaling and root planing performed by an RDH, Arestic© is applied directly in the pockets of the gum. It works very quickly to eliminate the bacteria, and has been shown to provide improved results over scaling and root planing alone.^[1,2,3]
